Nice, to me those tractors are rolling pieces of art and I cant think of a more aesthetically pleasing tractor.

Bumping an old thread so people who find this via searching could learn something.

Y'all were right -- the 8N was good enough for pulling a back blade and dragging snow off of our 1/2 mile road -- until I had mechanical problems. I've had to go through the whole thing from top to bottom to get it running again. She is paid for, which accounts for a lot, but I wish we had the funds for more of a tractor.

As it sits I can get by with the back blade, carry all, and a 3pt dirt scoop, but loosing the hydraulics whenever you push the clutch in, the lack of power steering, and the inability to change gears when moving wears you down a bit.

Lesson learned -- those nice features on newer tractors are there for a reason!

Hah. Check out this 53 page (!!!!) thread on tractor by net. It's taken a while to iron all of the bugs out. She was working just swell during -10 degrees but she had a hiccup and then just died for the rest of winter.

Many new cuss words have been learned.
