I read a story long ago of a guy who was driving brand new Lincolns over the border. He was known to police and they searched the car every time he crossed the border. Each time they found a hidden compartment which had three jars in it of three different substances, I think maple syrup, sugar and something else, all of which were perfectly legal to take across the border. They knew he was up to no good but couldn't figure it out. A long time later they realized he was smuggling Lincolns.
Sometimes you just have to give people credit for creativity and having the kajones to actually pull it off right under everyone's nose.
There was another theft in Quebec recently of 400 tons of corn, right out of the storage silos. Somebody obviously knew what they were doing and had the equipment to pull it off.
