Should you choose to use it, be on the lookout for snakes and bees.

You might want to check out the septic system. Installing a commode is pretty simple. Putting in a septic tank and drain field runs over $3000 here. And the land needs to perc.

we have two bathrooms, a composting toilet inside and a very nice outhouse out back. We have three teenagers also. DH doesn't use the indoor toidy, ever. He's got power run to the outhouse so he's got lights and a spaceheater. Guests have the choice.

It could be a deal breaker if you're planning on a loan from a bank to buy the property.

She said they were gonna be renting.

Id like to be there FOR ONLY ONE NIGHT, in Feb

When its Sept and thers a full moon outside, Its neat to sit and ponder the meaning of life. WHEN its Feb, Or as in my case, Nov, when my then wife went out first, and it was so cold she stood over the hole, and whizzed all over the seat, then when I went out I found out I DID have all kinds of hairs on my butt lol. AT LEAST Till when I finally got up.

I would check with the township this house is located in to make sure it is legal to use an outhouse. Some no longer permit them and some have ordinances on how they are designed and how often they need to be pumed out. It would be a shame for you to move in and someone notifies DEP that you are living there and you are made to leave. Don't take the land owners word for this either. Call the township....you do not need to give your name or the address of the home. Just ask if there are any privy ordinances and if they are permitted in the township. If you don't want to ask to open up a can of worms then message me with the name of the townsip and I will call as one secretary to the other to see what they do versus what our township does.

I grew up using an outhouse. Loved that thing.

Got married and had to start cleaning a toilet..... much prefer an outhouse.

Styrofoam is the way to go in the winter.
