I don't consider myself germaphobe. I just use common sense.

This thread got me thinking, it'd be interesting to see who has antibacterial soap in their house or not in relation to their thread responses.

Don't know how old most of you are, but when I was a kid I would go hunting or fishing and if the water was running I would drink and did not worry about anything. Eat about anything, no worry. Not today, like the poster said, corporate America is who we have to thank is right. Although a lot of good things have come from them, a lot of bad thing also.

I'll jump first.....No antibacterial soap at my house. I don't think. I don't look for that, at least. And the only time I use the sanitizer station at work is right before I clock in or out to ease the minds of those that believe that stuff is great. I know differently. Soap and water.

No antibacterial soaps or sanitizers here, either. NOW - when I am milking I am extremely careful about sanitation. Same with food preparation and butchering - but those are pretty well the exceptions.

With my health issues and age, I use it all!

I remember walking barefoot through cow pies on the farm though as a child.

No antibacterial soap here. Sanitizers are bleach and vinegar. Good old sunshine works well as an antibacterial too, those UV rays kill a lot of germs.

I stained my Excalibur today! I've had it for a couple years and keep it sparkling... drying tomatoes did it. My screens have slightly yellow spots where each piece was sitting. But, the dried tomatoes are amazing!

Bassett hounds are the way to go. They won't leave enough on em to feed an ant. Make sure to give em a quick warsh when they finish, no matter how clean they look.
