South central Ky here... hadnt had a drop in a couple months.... even the thistles had wilted down and were turning brown, leaves were falling from the trees like early fall. Then one evening last week it began and we have had a nice shower sometime through the day every day since!! The grass that I just knew would have to be resown came right back and began thriving again. We may just get a second cutting of hay afterall.

When I first moved to this county in the spring of 78 I worked with an old gentleman who told me "it will always rain two days before its too late". There may be some truth to that but it sure pushed its luck this time!

But we need more.....it's a start though!

Got rain yesterday and today. Was out filling all the water buckets yesterday, today they just all overflowed. Nice to see them full again and the garden just loves it. Nice to see everything perking up again.

Hadn't had rain in a month or more but in the last week or so we've had anything from a small shower to a storm at least once a day. 'Bout time!

Well, here offically we got 0.05 inches (yep 5/100's of an inch) yesterday. First rain in over a week putting us about 7 inches of precip below normal. Although there is a 40% chance of showers tomorrow, but after that no rain forecasted till after the 25th or better.....

nothing in sc ks

Everything burnt up in KS. I used to worry about heavy rains washing out the pond dam. Not any more.

Here in southren Nova Scotia we finally had some rain today! It rained a nice gentle rain all morning until noon. It was our fourth rain since January. Along the coast it finally got hot too with temps in the 90's F and way over a 100 F inland. That is hotter than we ever remember it being right next to the ocean. Thankfully fog cooled it off later in the afternoon. Other parts of Nova Scotia had more rain than here earlier in the week. They also have had hotter weather. Many crops are failing which means higher grocery prices are coming.
