We have a 40x40 barn built on a concrete slab...pine interior and concrete board exterior. Barn uses $23 a month electricity. That's the base price. We've never gone over it.

The house is two story, 3500 sq. feet. We have propane heat, but keep our thermostat set on 65 degrees. Cost just over $2000 to fill up our propane tank this year, but due to a mild winter, keeping the thermostat turned down and using our wood burning fireplace we still have 60 percent of our propane left.

Water and sewage...free

Garbage pick-up is $10.50 a month.

Everything else in the house is electric. Our power bill (co-op) runs about $130 a month. I long for the day I can convince hubby to go off grid!

Our property taxes are right around $3000 a year and that's with Homestead Exemption!

This winter, my propane was about $400 a month, and my electric was also about $400 a month.
Trash pickup is $50 a month, TV is $90, phone and internet about $100, Cell phones are about $140.
I don't even want to talk about insurance, taxes, gas, food, hay, groceries, loan payments or general living expenses.
