"100%" isn't always a bad thing. Years ago my father decided to turn one of our hogs into whole hog sausage. After triming the fat , we ran all the cuts through the grinder mixing in everything except the dog slurry scraps and the squeal. That 200 pounds of sausage was so lean we had to add a spoonful of lard or shortening to the pan to fry it but those prime cuts that went into it sure made for some tasty breakfast meat

Nope. This stuff had 'flavors' like cheddar, pepperjack and such. Felt and tasted really rubbery. Almost everyone who took a sample spit it into their napkins after they left the booth. lol

I do know they changed their fries not too long ago. They used to be ok for those with gluten issues to eat. Now they're flavored with a gluten based product.

I dont think any fast food is probably good to eat often but despite lots of folks criticising Micky Ds you have to admit they have adjusted their business model to try and accomodate changing sensibilities. Too many germs in Play Land?...most are gone now and being conveted to Mc Cafe with steaming wireless Internet and flat screen TVs, Beef tallow in the cooking oil? .... they removed it, their reaction to Supersize Me?....look at all the healthy options they now have including the Happy meals (not that most folks choose healthy but the options are there), when they started losing market share for seniors?....they went out of their way to court that group and now most mornings you find seniors ongregating at Micky Ds for morning coffee.

Like them or not I cant help but admire their business saavy and marketing (can you describe the whole McRibb thing as anything but genius? I mean its a terrible product hyped to cult status).

You know, I eat at McDonald's twice a week, almost every week. One time is when I go to get my raw milk, and the restaurant is on the way. Another is when I go get my grandkids. That's two out of 21 meals a week. That leaves 19 meals at home made from scratch, mostly organic, stuff I've raised and put up myself; and I cook like a star, and don't feel one bit guilty.

Indeed, you are right. The US/IWorldwide site doesn't get into that much detail. It is mostly advertising style statements of just how much they are doing to meet customer demands for fresh, local, green, trans-fat free, etc, etc, nutrious food. No chemicals or additives or seasonings are mentioned.

Honestly, I don't mind eating there once in awhile, for a quick lunch or something like that. And I do think the quality of the whole experience--tables, service, food freshness, if the food matches the ad pictures, if the rest rooms are clean or not, if the floors are greasy--is driven by local management and hired helpers. And the crowd who comes in. There are a lot worse places.

It depends on what one considers "consistently". A couple of times a year, a couple of times a month... or even a week. That's roughly .125% to 2.5% of meals eaten per year... personally, I'd call that very occasionally rather than "consistently".

Ya there is other things to experience and such. I am hoping someday to even get to Disney World, been to Disneyland a few times, and now want to get to see the Grand Daddy of them all, Walt Disney World.

I am on the road so much during farmer markets season that i eat out 2 if not 3 times a day. So for 6 months of the year I live on fast food. I try to stay with healthier options but it is hard to eat cheap at such places when you are looking for lower fat content and veggies. I eat alot of raw veggies. I love eating zephyr squash raw as well as cuccumbers and until I get sick of them I eat alot of berries(blue, black, rasp) while I pick. Love mcds tea but want it half sweet half unsweetened as they make it way to sweet. My normal routine during season is Hardee's every morning for breakfast and Burgerking or McDs for lunch due to their dollar menus. I try to eat at home for supper but can not always and I tend to eat at a buffet if I can not get home so I can atleast have a salad with dinner.

If I walk in and the floors are greasy I tell the manager I will not eat in such a nasty store and leave and complain to corprate. It normally does not take long before changes are made in those stores.

It boils down to "Eat fast food if you want. Don't eat it if you don't want to."

And I would add... if you don't want to, please don't feel the need to try to convince me that I shouldn't want to either.

Hey, I'm with you, sometimes you're just too tired or busy to do much else (or go hungry). But I'm not going to try to justify myself: I know it's bad for me, I know I shouldn't eat it, I know it 's bad for the environment, Lord alone knows what that McDouble last week is still doing inside me, but it tastes good and it sure hits the spot.
Actually the ingredients list on a burger does not reveal anything particularly unsavory, aside from several known carcinogens, a deadly ingredient, and something that is linked with seizures. Nothin' to worry about.
