Gear oil, transmission fluid, and lithium grease are the worst.

Best thing I've ever used for greasy stuff is Lestoil. It's old timey, and hoooo, does it work! I used to find it everywhere, but now I get it at Ace Hardware.

I even put some in a little dish soap bottle for spot treating. No problems with bacon splatter anymore.

For heavier grease Dawn. Spot treat and/or soak in strong solution. For light grease, like a splatter in the kitchen, I find that Spray N Wash stain stick works great, however, I never had much success with their liquid spray. With the stain stick, I find it best to apply as soon as you take the clothes off and roll it up and put in the laundry basket. Use it at least 30-60 minutes before washing in any case.

On greasy shirt stains spray 409 on, rub a bit and wash. For really nasty jeans (my ex was a garbage man, doesnt get any worse than that) I found liquid wisk, poured right on stains, rub together a little and wash. Works good!

Never tried it myself, but my brother swears by Classic Coca Cola. They used it in the Army, when he was a diesel mechanic....

GRANDMAS LYESOAP

Good for everything around the place..
Pots and kettles and dirty dishes..
Good for hands, and for your face.
Oh sing oh sing for GRANDMAS LYESOAP
Cures your warts and dirty shorts.
Grandpa washed his ears with LYESOAP..
He hasn't heard a word in years.

"Goop" brand . hand cleaner will take the darkest, nastiest oil stains out of anything.

Rub it in. Let it sit a few minutes and throw it in the wash.

Amazing.
