Maybe some bee hives strategically located would defer the trespassers.

Better yet take 4 finishing nails and hammer them into the edge of the tread as in almost the side wall. It means a replaced tire. Sidewall flats are not repairable.

They are called microchips and no, they are not just pennies. Last time I bought any (about 3-4 years ago) they were around $7 each, and that was with a discount. You also need a reader for the particular type of chip you use. That will cost you $200+ last time I checked.

I don't think that chipping is the answer

What you want to bet the idiots thought it'd be a whole lot easier to transplant them to their garden and then they wouldn't have to go so far? I would ask whoever usually buys mine to keep an eye open for someone trying to sell underage roots. There's a slight chance...

there is a guy around here that is a absentee owner,
and put no trespassing signs and no hunting signs, and still people were hunting his land, so he put some game cameras, and about a week after hunting season opened up the local paper had a large add of some of the nice locals that were trespassing and hunting his land, (set to show a land mark so to prove what ground they were on)
one of them even had the no hunting sign in the back ground, after that add come out he no longer had any problems,

First of all check the gun laws in your state and those about self defense. As far as the valve stems, a knife will make quick work of letting the air out.

Don't use firearms unless you are ready to take a life. Hesitate and you may be the one dead and they will get off with self defense, and probably convicted on a lesser charge of theft. It happened here in Montana over cabin burglaries.

No, don't stab the tires.
Just get some slip joint pliers and pull the valve stem out. It breaks, but you are not messing up a $100 tire, they will ahve to only pay $10 or so per tire to get new valve stems replaced.

Learned this in auto extrication class.

I like FHM's idea best of all. I'd be leery of damaging tires because you could get charged with criminal damage to property.

have you called the law to see if they can do something or to notify them that the immature plants have been stolen? did you have pictures of the area showing the ginseng plants? can you put a motion light on the area or are they coming in during the day?

Here's my grandpa's solution! traps it's your land! They don't belong there! They won't come back after one foot in the trap or you could do the traps that southern prepper has on you tube to alert you. They are cheap! sam's club had cheap video systems. The police around our way tell us they need to see it on video. We have the castle law here. Screws on your property where they are stopping will flatten their tires. They usually can't fix them either. The kids across the street did it to all the neighbors. Cost us two tires but cost him a good but beating from my son's crew team. The kids been in and out of juvi. He is wearing an anklet now. He knows I carry and he don't bother me. I still don't trust him never will. Do you have the castle law? A good shovel or metal bat works. We know someone who they were stealing his car in the middle of the night. He went out with a bat and beat him so bad he was in the hospital two weeks. Cops laughed when they arrived and he was under the fence stuck in a ball. Where I live the cops are bored. We found out if you Beat them then just go back to your house or go out. The cops will come and you say you weren't home they didn't see it they can do nothing to you. Our cops have it easy and are lazy. Loop holes can work for you to. All the neighbors had to learn with the kid across the street. I live in a good area to. just one bad apple. My son is in law school. So as long as you have trepassing signs and you put traps you will not get in trouble. Someone just dumped the screws or look for scrapnell small pieces of metal they will go into their tires. When they redid our roads and grind the old one the metal goes into the tires and flattens it. GO to home depot pipe department you find small metal that is sharp. Just make sure you don't run over your own screws and hope the cops don't when they come. you could just screw a couple in the tread or the edge of the side wall in with your drill throw one or two on the road for good measure. I have never done this it was done to all of my neighbors including us By the kid across the street.
He use to shoots our houses at 3 a.m with a slingshot with rocks. I myself would use the bear traps spray painted black or brown to match your dirt. good luck it is so crazy when people do this to someone.

I would not suggest laying traps. In most states this is illegal, and will get you a misdemeanor or worse if reported by an injured party and opens you up to a lawsuit.

If you have posted signs, warning dog etc, feel free to let the dogs out all night. The trail cams are a good idea as well, it works for law enforcement and hunters....

Also, there is nothing wrong with putting a few shots over someone's head at night...

In it is not illegal here to place bear traps.
You would need to check in you state. Sad to say but they may shoot your dog. If you leave them out all night.

If your property is posted. your signs are Lighted in our state you may put out traps if you desire to do so. Unfortunatly. Sometimes the law works for the criminals and that being said call a local attorney get all the senarios with him and then get a second opinion just to cover your bases. you will get more info if you call two. I always tell people call two.
This is still america despite lawsuits you still have the right to protect you land.

Please keep your comments to yourself clearly you could of not been so rude saying my son had no common sense or calling him an idiot!

When you make rude comments and you have no idea who a person is But it seems as if you like puffing your chest out like a peacock. Please keep your rude comments about my child to yourself. Momma bear!

You could have worded it with bringing my son into it. You should keep your post about the trap and not singled out at my child! Plenty of people want to be around my child he is very well liked and he is clearly not the idiot. Sir I cannot even explain how rude you are.

swing by the parts store and grab a 4 pack of valve stem caps. and a sharpie, and 4 bb's and a tube of super glue. color bb black with sharpie, a drop of super glue in the valve stem cap, drop the bb in there to dry. you can run around their car and replace theirs with yours REAL quick and they wont even know what happened because they wont notice the black bb when they go to fill up their tires, if you dont happen to catch them.
