I do know that with a 6 year obligation, 4 years active duty / 2 years reserves and the loss of one stripe due to my own alcohol induced stupidity - I was Honorably Discharged as an E-3 (0311/ 0331 Infantry), from the U.S. Marine Corps.

Plus instead of signing some on-line petition, I would rather directly write my U.S. Congressman and U.S,. Senator on this issue. Either as a Marine Corps Veteran, as the former Post Adjutant of the local American Legion Post, or as a former Post Officer of the local Marine Corps League Detachment. The local VFW hasn't gotten me to become a Post Officer yet.
I should of mentioned the 6YO was 6 years active service. Lots of folks would sign up for 6YO, school for a certain amount of time, fail out of school and become an E-3 and only do 4 years active and 2 reserves. That was rather slick if you only planned on doing 4 years anyhow.

Well this Marine didn't fail out of Advanced Infantry Tech School, or had I planned to weasel out of my 6 year obligation. Not everyone has devious intentions. Then with my having earned several Post Secondary Degrees (most with honors) over the years, failing (A.I.T.) or any tech school was not in my plans.

I did what the Marine Corps had decided was best, for my circumstances.

As I posted before, I am not sure what the Army, Navy, or Air Force does with their personnel...

I Signed!!! Rush Limbaugh gets 51 million a year!! Never served a day!! What has he done to deserve one million a week?

Any vet doing any service, any time, anywhere, any rank, any branch, and their family deserves @ least that.

Just Saying

Some in life work harder, have more talent, initiative and drive. Contrary to what people think it's not a crime.

As my coach used to say "life isn't fair otherwise there would be no wheelchairs"

Just because the rich are few in number doesn't mean their rights need to be trampled on.

I would venture to say if Rush quit working he would quit "getting" money. That's how it works. Many broadcasters crashed and burned and some made it big. Offer a product people want and the skys the limit... Or at least it was that way in America.

Who is greedy? The citizen that trys to preserve and grow their wealth?
Or is it: The citizen that attempts to confiscate anothers wealth through legislation or the ballot box.
