Do you know of a pre-emergent to kill the seed heads?

Am i asking that right?

Also we do plan on fertilizing but that takes years to see the results. Until then I am digging them up, I'd rather dig, then dig them out of wool..ouch!!.LOL
Contact your local Texas Ag Life agent. They should have a list of chemicals that will control grassburrs.

A Pre-emerge chemical will inhibit the seed in the ground from living long enough to make a viable plant after it germinates.

Thanks for the sticker pics. Up here we have cockleburrs, Spanish needles, and sand burrs, and sometimes brambles stick to your legs, too......stickers look nasty, you can keep 'em............

Do a search for "Treflan" or "Prowl" herbicides. Another chemical to look at is "Lasso". Those 2 are in the chemical class referred to as "yellow herbicides". Many people do not like to use them for various reasons. Or, for a chemical that will supress crab grass.

The usual disclaimer: Always read and follow label instructions before using any chemical.
