I do hope it is something entirely different. Like I said, I wouldn't trust that stuff to stop anyone or anything. My wife wanted to get a little key chain type, told her that if the 38 didn't stop them, the spray would just tick em off.

I think there must be different grades because I had a state sheriff say to only get the stuff sold at gun stores (we have cougar).

Inferno

For months I have been reading this forum without anything worthwhile to share. And today I finally get to add something to the discussion

This is the best stuff around and what you want to carry.

I'm glad you finally posted!
I think the spray you posted about (while great for human predators) wouldn't necessarily be the best for grizzly attack from what I've read. You want bear spray to really spread out in a cloud and ColdSteel doesn't seem to do that. It's made to be targetable according to their info.

After reading these threads, I think I'm going to order a can of UDAP. I'm not out purposely looking for bears or necessarily in the back country but they do show up here and I've had one in front of my house. Kind of a "duh" moment that I haven't gotten any yet.
I do have and carry sidearms but honestly, I don't think I could pull and aim accurately (even if what I carry could possibly stop a bear) if I were being charged by a griz. Pepper spray seems to be the way to go.
