Regular aspirin is fine for dogs..best given with food. The vet where I work usually suggests using aspirin first and if that doesn't help with pain we have stronger RX (yes more expensive) that are made for pain for dogs.

Could someone please tell me more about the raw food diet. I read this thread and pulled out liver and beef and am cooking rice right now. I figure I'll add grated carrots also. My boy gets, aspirin and glucosamine. When I find another Vet(old one retired) I'll go back to Carprofen and Tramadol. But the vit. C and raw diet is new to me.
