I knew it would happen, so I watched them all in one day. A big corperation bought youtube a few years ago and other companies are becoming aware of what is going on with you-tube so I think they will be shutting down most of the illegal content on you-tube within the next three years and maybe even pressing charges on some of the people who post that content. Technically it is illegal to broadcast, sell, or duplicate for trade any copyrighted materials with out permission from the copyright owner.

Remember like ten years ago there was a big stink over file sharing music on-line? Some people who down loaded, posted, and shared those song were arrested or had to pay fines.

Ohhhh, sigh, soon the you-tube we have all come to love will be under big brother's thumb, and the wild-wild west of the internet will be tamed.

Zodiacia has been around for years, I wonder how you-tube caught wind of him putting copyrighted stuff on.

I saw a few stupid things on You-tube where people were saying that in England the people in Devon get picked on because they allegedly sound like pirates.
City Bound: Yes people from the West Country do sound like pirates and we are proud of it. lol. A lot of your accent came from the west country as that is where most ships sailing to the New World sailed from. The navy is deeply rooted in South Devon and Cornwall.

Rats...I finally get time to watch them all at once....and they disappear. I deserve it for putting it off for so long! I bought Ruth's book Victorian Pharmacy. It's good.

Cheap as I am, I may have to break down and purchase them. Do you know if they are they copies of the whole shows, or copies of what zodiacza had posted on Youtube?

Great news folks! Paul (zodiacza) sent me a msg that he has a new YouTube page and will be uploading all the ____Farm & River Cottage shows by next week! He asked me to spread the word. His new site address is:

http://www.youtube.com/user/zodiacza1

You might want to send him a message there at his site to give him some encouragement and let him know how much he is appreciated.

We need to keep a low profile about it when he does put them back up.

I do not know if anyone tried to get copies of the shows from the producers or from the BBC, but just before victorian farm got shut down last time people were posting how they wrote e-mails to the bbc telling them that they saw the show on u-tube and wanted to know how to buy copies....shortly after that, the links were closed down. If people try to contact the BBC to get copies, please do not mention that you saw it on you-tube, that will only get it shut down again. Thank you.

I think he's keeping a similar name in order for his subscribers to be able to find him again. It took 'em 4 years to get to around to banishment, so hopefully we'll get another 4 years.

If any of you use FireFox, get the add-on "Easy YouTube Video Downloader". With it, you can download the entire series (it took me about an hour and a half). That way, you can view them when your internet is down, or after the links get shut down.

Happy viewing.

By the way, I downloaded "my" copy in MP-4 format, which needs Apple's QuickTime player to view. QuickTime for Windows is available (FREE) from Apple here:
Apple - QuickTime - Download

Enjoy!
