Thanks, one of these days I'm going to get a cultivator attachment for my tractor and then I could spend most of the summer in my hammock instead of hoeing. Part of me is too cheap, and the other part likes the exercise.

Things are looking good around your homestead. The woodstack especially is a thing of beauty. Except for that "snow porn". We don't need to see any more of that! Even though it was 107 degrees and humid here last week, I am not ready for snow again just yet.

Count me as another fan of your wood ricking ability. That looks like an old time apple variety and I can't recall the exact name of it. We had several of those apple varieties in the orchard on my childhood farm. The branches got all scrawny but it had the best tasting apples.

Thanks for the pics as so much of what's seen in your photos reminds me of my own childhood farm back in the 50s and 60s.

Kirk - Here's the pic of the 5' tall yellow squash next to the trellis of cukes. We don't have a lot of gardening space so when I planted the squash seeds, I went ahead and put an extra large tomato cage over them. The plants grow up instead of sprawling.

Love those photos! Great hen house! The corn here is only half that height too, due to a late start this spring.
