We seem to have a lot of folks in the mid-Willamette Valley. How about we do something in Salem or Albany?

Salem: Riverfront park- playground, carousel, picnic area, on the river
Albany: Timber-Linn park- covered picnic area, playground, ponds, close to I-5

I'm in McMinnville(actually Dayton), and Salem would be cool for me! Only I have no transportation right now, my truck is being fixed.

There's a poultry swap at the Corvallis fairgrounds on October 22. It's very homestead oriented and the building is already paid for and the permits issued. The public is very welcome to come, and there is no admission.

That would be a good place for everybody to meet up, do a little shopping, maybe sell some homestead stuff and all get together for a picnic lunch.

That's a ways south for me - maybe those of us in Columbia and Cowlitz counties could meet up and carpool, lol!

I'm in Sweet Home, thought I should post in here since we're all practically neighbors, though I don't see me getting out for any group picnic-y things. I am planning on the poultry swap in October and now, thanks to this thread, I'm going to be wondering every time I meet a new person, "Are they on HT, and if so, what's their handle?!?" Nice to "meet" all of you

LOL. Maybe we should all wear a label or a flower pin or something at the poultry swap so we recognize each other! I hadn't heard of it before but it sounds like fun, so I may pop over to it as well.

There really are quite a few of us in the midValley, aren't there?

Another Columbia County denizen here...

High in the hills between Scappoose and Chapman

I'd be very interested in a get-together, depending on when and where.
