I didnt cut it down the town did when they put in a new bridge.
I would never cut a tree like that down especially not knowing what to do with it.

We cut trees maple burls like that all the time. Get a 3' chainsaw bar. Cut in an arc until you have it cut.

If this were a year tree, value may drop quite a bit as they would be concerned about nails and such within the tree. Those really mess up valuable veneer blades.
