On mice in trailer walls, I got rid of mine almost overnight. I have skirting which can be pulled out. I went around the trailer and tossed about eight of those one-bite poison packs undernearth. Scratching stopped within about 24-hours. Hasn't started again.
If you have a trailer without skirting (open underneath), consider buying square bales of stray in the fall and stacking them around the trailer to the height of the box. In the spring use them for mulch. Of course, this is if the codes will allow it.
Problems with code violations and upset homeowners often occur since the new homeowner didn't under them in advance. Local codes and zoning are much like the fine print on a contract. Don't complain later you didn't know about them.
One of my sisters and husbands live in one of those gated commuinities in Florida. The own their house and one foot out from the slab. Community owns and maintains the rest. Place is incredibly tidy, but I have trouble finding their house since they all look basically alike.
