......................Some of the responses in this thread might lead 0ne too believe that a significant percentage of mothers who have experienced male abuse are encouraging their daughters to become lesbians ! Maybe we'll soon see Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen on the 2 and 3 dollar bills ! , fordy

I want to give you a little piece of advice my mother always said, and she learned this from her father. She always told me, "Watch how a man treats his mother, because that is how he will treat you". She was, however, only half right. After being married for ten years, and remembering back to how perplexed I was watching how my husband's parents treated each other, I have altered the 'family advice' to this:

Watch how (a woman or) a man's parents treat each other, this is how your prospective spouse will very likely interact with you.
