Thanks! I just found one of these on our patio a few minutes ago and was wondering what it was! LOL It is neat, the yellow part was BRIGHT yellow.

Look up antlion larvae and you'll see the parent of Checkov's ear bug <EG> Or I always thought it looked like one. The article said the "Mighty Sarnak" was based on a doodle bug... Learned my new thing for today :-)

I like the fact that these carrion bugs eat maggots :-) I hate maggots

I like that fact too. Anything that slows down the fly population is fine by me.
