Apples are also good bait for the trap. Woodchucks are excellent climbers and will scale an apple tree for the fruit.

We were gone all day yesterday. The hole was filled in when we left in the morning. When we got home, I saw that something had been digging at the hole, but stopped when they hit one of the buried bricks.

I set the trap last night with two little carrots and two apples slices. No action so far.
