Along with my homestead located in Tn. I've worked from home for 10 yrs plus it allowed me to own everything I have. Here is the problem first yes their are a lot of bogus deals out their second most people think that they will make tons of money the next day. It takes time to built just like any business. It takes time for the search engines to pick your site up. Bottom line is if you do it right you can earn serious income, but if you want to be rolling in money the next day get a job.

Last year, a friend of mine decided to go into business for herself.
At first, she'd buy produce such as strawberries or watermelons and sold those mostly on the honor system. She generated enough working capital, that she branched out and started a small thrift store. She works out of an old, small, three room wooden house that she uses for free, as long as she keeps up all repairs. She knows her target customer well. many of them are Mexican immigrants working on the local farms. What are some of her "hot" items? Radios, for one. For instance, take an old boom box with a non-working CD player...She finds it at a garage sale for $4, cleans it up and sells it for $8, along with a 10 day warranty. Other hot items are tube tv's, usually sold for between $20 and $40. Any type of small kitchen appliance, especially coffee pots and rice cookers. Small, used refrigerators sell well. She'll even dabble in large kitchen appliances if the price is right. Cast iron pots and skillets do well. Toys are ok, if they are in very good condition. Furniture can do well, if it is something like an odd piece that people need, say, a medium to small end table, just big enough for a lamp and a book. As you can tell, almost all of her items are household goods of one kind or another. She will not deal in clothes. Period. They sit too long. New clothes from WalMart are too close in price. And they're seasonal. She's not getting rich, but her worst month in the last year was $600 profit. |
Happy to hear about Jolly's friend. Great job. Their are all kinds of ways to earn extra money both online and off. Online is how I own my homestead. Sorry to say folks think that an online business is just mash a button and the next day your rich. Sorry it does not work that way. But it does work and I love it. I get to stay here on the homestead and do what needs to be done. I may spend 4 hours a week on the business. Back to Jolly's friend you go girl profit is the bottom line.
