Little 1600sq ft house in the metromess on a .24 acre lot worth about 160-170k around 5,000 in taxes.

11 acres with a decent barn and 350sq ft cabin, 2,100 a year.. It'll drop to well under a thousand though if I get an Ag appraisal.

Half acre, 100 year old small house, in a small village, taxes are $110 a year. We have a homeowner's exemption as well as a tax freeze from about eight years ago otherwise it would probably be about six times that amount. We also have another property of one acre, no house but recently (or could even be currently, I've not looked lately) covered by lava - annual taxes $25. It's on the other side of the island, though.

Small 1000 sq ft ranch, 75 by 125 lot.......$3,600

I hate living here. Both my sons live in Colorado

We have 9 yrs left until my husband retires with full medical benefits for the two of us. It's THE only thing keeping us here.

Here in my area of Ny State the school taxes are the killer. For 2500 sq ft house on 31 acres which is in the ag exemption I pay about $3850 school tax and about $1600 for the town, county state tax. The brand new( built in 2006 but never sold) 2800 sq ft house next to me on 2 acres pays almost $10,000 a year total.

23 acres, $40/yr. There are no "permanent" structures and no zoning.

40 acres, northwestern Kansas. We're currently valued at about $250 per acre, though I expect that to go up a little bit as improvements are made.

We pay $20 per year.

3000 sq ft stone house 10.5 acres of land within the boundaries of the Greater Toronto Area. Property taxes $1000, about the same as when we moved here 30 years ago. They went down from their high 15 years ago when many taxes were removed from farmed land.

We farm a lot of the neighbour's land and their taxes drop because they are part of our farm. Having 10 acres farmed is worth about $1500 to them.
