Should have the regular 3 pt.
Neighbor had a 170 and it was a handy tractor. I drove it baling a bunch.

Only problem was that you are straddling the tranny tube when you drive. And you sit kinda low.
I prefer a nice flat deck, up high.

I have no compplaints abut the engine, or dependability. That D19 I had was a good tractor.

I pulling this back up to get opinions on another brand of tractor. What are the thoughts on Oliver tractors, specificly a 69 550. I have heard good things about them, but no personal experiance. Sammy, I saw that case, and was considering, but it seemed beat up also, but I was going to call on it.

Yep, been watching them too. There is an auction up bout 1.5 hrs north of me on Feb 25, that has a nice massey in it. It is kind of a hope and dream (I figure it will go for around 10K unless very few show), but I plan on taking off work to go, just in case it could fall in my price range.

If you use much fuel, having a tank at home is the only way to go. Diesel is way safer than gasoline to have around the farm.
