We are movin' to the country!

You're well in range of the Keady Livestock market. I wonder if its still as it was 10 years ago! Quite the place to visit on sale day! Farmers market too. I've got family in the area, more towards Port Elgin but up into Owen Sound too. I'd be thinking of shelter belts of evergreen trees, (not pine you'll have some wind at times) and yeah fruit trees ASAP, maybe even heart nuts. Good thinking to start with rabbits and chickens, before the larger animals. Welcome to HT!

Lucky You!! If I have my way I will be returnign to Canada within 2 years, it has taken a long time to convince my DH to make the jump but he is ready. You do know where you are on the elephant right??LOL..

I find th HaveMorePlan a nice base for planning out acreage. You can find a free download, I find it simple but gives some good basic ideas!!
