The local governments aren't happy unless they control everything. Let a couple of new people who moved in from other areas get on the boards and they want to take the country out of the country.

We have them here. Many here are anti- hunters/guns. That changed when the geese started pooping all over sidewalks; athletic fields; school yards and their own lawns. They are two-faced "words I can't say here" people.

If SHTF don't you think I have a list of those people who can fend for themselves. Don't knock on my door................

I grew up in dairy country and an egg farm. Egg farms are now scarce in this county. There is one I buy my eggs from. He writes on the boxes, that won't stay closed without elastic bands, "monsters". Sometimes the eggs are so large he puts them in flats with elastic bands holding them closed. Almost all are double yokes.

Oh for the good old days. This thread points out that if you are thinking about moving to a new place it is best to investigate everything. Water; power; livestock/poultry reg's and even gardens. It is not something you want to find out after the fact.

In some places you don't own the land your home is built on. You lease it and the rates change. I am told Delaware has some of those associations. Some associations even control what flags you can or can not fly.

Some things we take for granted have been stripped away by the local or state gubberments. We are on a down hill slippery slope.

I'm on a little over 4.5 acres and can't have farm animals because I'm zoned R1. My buddy across the street has about 2 acres and can because he's zoned AG. The only thing I can figure is because I'm on a lake.
