Things to make you go Hmmmmmm I wonder.
There was a movie a few years back called The Core.
The opening is a flock of birds flying into things and falling to the ground dead.
The reason we found out in the movie was the Earths Core was stopping from turning and that was messing with the Earths Magnetic Field.
Now read this:
Shift of Earth's magnetic north pole impacts Tampa
TAMPA - Scientists say the magnetic north pole is moving toward Russia and the fallout has reached -- of all places -- Tampa International Airport.

The airport has closed its primary runway until Jan. 13 to repaint the numeric designators at each end and change taxiway signage to account for the shift in location of the Earth's magnetic north.

Nothing new. Magnetic north has always shifted around all over the place.

I know it has but this is the first time the airports are reporting it bad enough to close runways to change the markers.
Who knows is we are getting ready for a "Magnetic Flip" that has happened many times in the earths history.

You're right about the Magnetic flip, I've been reading for several years in the science magazines that it's expected to happen (again) just any time, now.

This has been an interesting, informative, and extremely scary thread to read. Thanks for all the links and info. Even though it made me want to hide out somewhere way away from here.....

Here we have it folks, 30 events so far, including mammals now, bats and manatees.

http://antigov.info/2011/01/mysterio...-deaths-links/

Most of them are in North America. Some of them officials are saying it might be related to cold or hot temperatures, but none have confirmed that. Some of them, like the starfish and penguins, are from as early as December 23/10.

LOL

Didn't I tell you these things were common, and if you looked you 'd find them?

Oh, I did indeed. I found way, way more than that but these are the only ones where there are so many that are all clustered together within a 2-3 weeks period and for which most have no obvious cause that makes sense. I found a few from late November too. The many others that I found are all mostly isolated incidents and most of those events are spaced out months or even years apart, many of which were due to easily explained causes.

The Pelicans found in North Carolina were killed and mutilated at sea by humans (presumably) and then washed up on shore, so that incident's cause of death is explained.

13 out of the 30 listed above for the past 3 weeks or so all took place in North America, the rest are scattered about the world.

Yes, they took place during a time period of extreme weather

Blizzards one week and tornadoes the next.

They aren't "unexplained"
They are all natural causes

I was just in FL and heard discussion about Manatee deaths. Apparently, approx. 10% of the total population has died since the beginning of 2010 from the cold water. Many are congregating around power plants, near Apollo Beach and other places, trying to take advantage of the few places that are warm enough for them (70 deg).
It is a shame. I'm not sure how those deaths tie in with the recent bird and fish deaths though.

But, but, but how can this possibly be? Catastropic global warming is dooming the earth but Florida Manatees are, in essence, freezing to death????????????

I would recommend actually studying the subject a bit instead of poking fun due to a very superficial understanding of the subject. Global warming causes weather instability.

Sure and then ice breakers are being frozen in nice ice cold waters also. GW, AL G. is no where to be found. lol Many things are coming out that have and will dis prove GW. or at the very least man has anything to do with what maybe happening. But the Earth knows.

If fireworks were responsible for birds falling out of the sky.....why wouldn't this be happening every year and why would it not be a big deal on July 4th when many more are shot off and every major city in America has a huge fireworks show? Just saying.....

On the 4th of July, redwing blackbirds are all scattered throughout the country as pairs with each having their own little area. They are not concentrated into flocks of 100,000 or so as they are at this time in their winter homes.
