A last thought I had was I don't need to go to the store for shaving stuff. I like the store brand soaps, but I don't need them. If the razor cartels announced a worldwide boycott tomorrow and all razors disappeared from the store shelves in a few years I could one of the few well shaved gents in the world. Dittos for when I need to hold onto my few retirement pennys for the cat food old folks are all supposed to be squeaking by on during every budget debate.

Double Edge blades at local Walgreens

I purchased an old Fatboy like the one on that Ebay post. Just like my Dad always used. Found that they still sell blades at the drug store for them.
Shaves nicer than any of the new 5 blade ones.

[QUOTE=Bentley;4834700]I don't know anyone elses shaving process, but I've found that I can get much longer life from my blades by shaving in the shower. I wait until I've finished washing everything, and then at the end of my shower (when my 5o'clock shadow is the softest) I'll grab the gillette with the triple blades, and it does a good job of cleaning things up. I can easily get a month out of a blade.
I often get coupons for freebie razors in the mail as well, which just extends the time between buying new razor blades.

Just a thought.

That is exactly what I do. Further I shake it off and give it a shot after with the blow dryer while I am drying the front of me off. Surely it's better to store it outside the moist environment of the bathroom but I am too lazy for that
