Been there too. Problem is, blade manufacturers, like Simmons or Lenox, sell rolls of blade to saw shops, who then custom cut to length and sell to you. I had one whole box I bought that didn't last to get the first re-sharp....every one broke at the weld. So unless they are dang GOOD at the welding/tempering process, the blades won't last long.

+ 1 There are some blades that are "cheaper" in price but quality follows. I like the WM blades. I tried some before that started with a "M" can't remember the name but sounded German... they held up better than the Lennox. Those are good 1 time use blades in a pinch but that's about it...
Also look around there are other places you can take your blades to that resharpens them. I have a place near by that does and it's a lot cheaper than shipping and sending them off.
Ideally 2 boxes (15 in each box) are nice to have (if you saw alot) that way you have a box to use while you get the others resharpened. If you have a saw/knife place around close that will sharpen them you can get away with less.
