I used to cut my wife's hair, too. It's easier if you use a level for the bottom, and a carpenter square for the sides.

I finally bought some "kid clippers" on amazon and they paid for themselves in the first cut (we have 4 children). Paying $12 for one of my toddler's to get their haircut (at the cheapest place in town, mind you) was ludicrous! I also trim my daughter's hair. I'm no stylist, but we get the job done and they don't look all overgrown!

What's the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut?

Two weeks.
