I think the pot was used for water, not really sure, it's lined with tin.The wood is kept in a copper pot too, just haven't polished it.

I figured out what I need to get rid of, so I'm going to see about shipping, the bigger pans need their own kind of box, enough room is nessary for packing materials. Any hints on that will be appreciated too.

I would suggest packing very well with plenty of packaging materials--lots of bubble wrap and newspappers and a strong box--maybe doubled cardboard. As you are probably aware--cast iron can be very brittle.

Also, before you sell it, you need to make sure all the pieces sit level and have no wobble and if they do, identitfy it in the description. Too high of heat with nothing in the skillets can put slight (and on occassion not slight) buldges in the bottoms. This really affects usuability (so I've been told) on flat top ranges.

If you aquired your unmarked pieces in Michigan, good chance is that they are Wagners, Griswold (Iron Mountain), or Chicago Hardware Foundary. If aquired in the south good chance that they were Burlington Stove and Range or Lodge. Of course people move and there were other foundaries as well. Originally these unmarks would have had a paper label.

Luv me a pot with a spigot. Shame about the tin.
