well, there must be some serious unrest in that household. My parents kicked me out, rightfully so, at 16. And no one, not even the High School I attended and they taught at, was concerned about it in a legal sense. This was 1991-92.

Child welfare threatened some good friends of ours over running water (they were in our house, long story). They left, we moved back in, still no running water, but no Child Welfare either. (We have water now). Once the CW has had a file on you, any complaint generates a full investigation, no matter how retarded the complaint. The original complaint was about our woodheat...

I was once told by a case worker that I had to move because I had filed a restraining order and therefore had to live nearer to a police station! I caught the same case worker on the property with my soon-to-be-ex. She told me they were going to give the kids to him. I called my Congressman and he gave me the phone number for the top DCF official in the state. She was fired that week. The replacement case worker came out, looked around and said n
"No problems." Seems the fired one had plans to help my ex take the property, sell it, and move elsewhere together.

Don't panic. Document everything. Ask for specifics and what exactly they want done.
