I now do this as well & I can honestly say my cell has a greater chance of never meeting my wall up close & personal....unlike my dh's alarm clock that gives me a coronary every time it goes off

I can't imagine needing an alarm clock! The cats start dive bombing the bed at 7:00 for their breakfast, if that doesn't get us it's followed by the rooster crowing, the guineas screeching, the geese honking and the goats hollering.

If you are going to wire something I recommend a goat over a lamb, they are way louder.....

Like Haven, we've been using the alarm in DH's phone, lately.
His has a dedicated "Alarm Clock" though. It's not just a ring tone.

First it vibrates (which is a buzz against the nightstand it's on) then it's adds a chipper, little musical ring. Then the light flashes intermittently. All the while, everything is slowly getting louder and louder.

I envy those of you who get to start your day at 7 or later!!
Our alarm goes off at 5:45 and it's hard to get moving this time of year since the sun isn't up yet.

We had a siamese cat too (lived to be 22 years old). He was not a reliable alarm clock, but if the food dish was empty or if he wanted to go out, he would sit next to your head and STARE AT YOU REALLY HARD.

My husband is HARD sleeper, if I want to wake him up I practically have to pound him, but this cat could wake him up. Blinking your eyes open to find a cat in your face is a startling way to wake up!

My alarm clock is a dog named Jenna and a flock of wild turkey. The turkey march through the yard about 6:15 AM which makes Jenna really mad (she is locked with her sister Dog in the Barn side yard at night) and so she barks like crazy.....and wakes me up! The turkey are really good at keeping time since it is 6:15 on the dot each morning lately.

When the turkey decide to change their march to the back side of the house, I just open the curtains in the bedroom windows, and the sun wakes me up.
