The thread in GC started out in this forum then was moved, so the first several posts were made here with this forum effects expected, and when moved to GC the GC effect came strongly into being.

So, there were expectations not met by the beginning of the thread and unexpected happenings at the middle and end (and on going).

Oh. Now that's unfortunate. I can see where that would be particularly frustrating, too.
You start a thread in the grownup areas expecting grownup discussion and then it's tossed down in the junior high playground...

It's very frustrating! Personally I would far rather have my post just deleted entirely than sent over there.

I didn't read many posts but I will say this:tamsam,

I say, "Stay", and Stay away from General Chat. I need to take a break from GC quite often myself. I won't hesitate to tell you how I feel if you flame me but that starts a vicious cycle we can all do without. I will tell you I think HT is one of the freindliest sites on the web for info such as we have here.

I would suggest you stay away form many other sites since not all of them ban harsh wording or even foul language. Talk about hurt feelings, arguments and flames! Some of them set a new low standard.

Stay here on HT and stay away from GC.

I think most of us sent you a warm Stay here message!

I find myself in agreement with Patt. If the powers-that-be ever think what I wrote is in the wrong place, please delete it and let me try again or not. I don't want to see anything I've started in General Chat.

To the OP, no need to leave the forum over anything in GC. As others have urged, don't go there. I don't.

I would like to address the business of moving threads to General Chat. First of all, what part of the phrase "Homesteading Questions" do some of you not understand? That is what this forum is about....Homesteading Questions. This forum is not about religion, politics, bashing big corporations, bashing government, etc. Yes, I do let some of those topics stay here, but most of the time I end up closing them because, even on this forum, some of you cannot discuss topics and issues "as adults."
