We have used both (over a mile of woven and 3-4 miles of high tensile). Redbrand for woven wire and Premier for all electric fencing. You pay shipping either way it is just who pays and at what discount.

But, what I'm wondering is, have any of you had any experience with both of these brands of fencing? I'm just wondering, as it seems like it would be easier to get the fencing available from my local TSC than to have fencing shipped in from Premier (which is in Washington, whereas we're in... New York)... and possibly cheaper. But, of course, you get what you pay for, so I wasn't sure if there was a major difference in the quality of the two brands, or if perhaps any of you had a different manufacturer of woven wire fencing that you wanted to suggest?

Thanks for your input!
................Red Brand is the best , US made wire product , available ! Second , the shipping rates that a large company pays for replenishment of its inventory too individual stores is MUCH lower than an individual will pay . Third , Have you compared the actual weight of each roll of wire ? If , each roll is 330 feet , and is the same configuration in the "Matt" or body , then the weights should be , almost equivalent ! , fordy

I don't know if Oklahoma Wire & Steel is sold in NY. It would be woth checking out I worked at a farm store and alway recomended it over Redbrand it cost less and was superior wire. Not only that it's made by hard working Okies who know quality fencing.

Of the fence wires I have used, Redbrand has been the most prone to breaking when curling the wires around a t-post or making a curled wire splice.

I have used a brand called Premier, though I bought it locally, not mail order. I found it to be appreciably better than Redbrand. I would not swear that this is the same Premier fence wire though.
