Is there a mower that will cut briar and not get tangled up?

How does the shaft driven mmm of Kubota compare to some of the belt driven models?

I have read/heard of mmm's used to cut some grass 4-5 fttall, although taking a little slower pace.

Trying to decide on kubota with mmm or not.
