Ditto on 'if they want in bad enough, they will get in'.... years ago an uncle of mine had a car repair garage out in the country. Metal building, steel door, bars on the windows, etc.... theives went around the back side of the building and used some kind of metal cutters to literally cut a hole in the sheet metal of the building, tore out the insulation and etc and went in and out through that. And I once saw a news report on t.v. where theives had used a chainsaw to cut a hole in the roof of a house and went in and robbed the place that way.

Yeah, if someone really wants in, they will work and work until they find a way. I guess I need to figure more ways to impede and discourage theives. Was told there is one on the loose in this general area. I know who the guy is by sight, but I don't know him otherwise, dont' even know his name, but apparently he's a house-breaker and has hit a couple of places within about a mile of here in the past few weeks.

When I build new; I plan out put in some extreme hurrican windows--very pricy but worth it. I also plan on building with insulated cemete forms. I want the house to be able survive a near miss by a fairly large tornado and be break in resistant.
