Now how fast does the water run into your pump source and how long for it to fill when pumping to the rv?
I had a simular problem with living in a rv here in WV in the winter. I made sure my tank was always full so if my water hose would freeze I would have water till the hose thawed. I had heat tape and insulation on it but it was only like 25 ft long. Some days it wouldn't thaw at all. Another problem I found was the shower drain would freeze if you didn't plunger the water out of it after showering. Of course I wasn't underpened. Good luck with the rv in winter. Sam

good thinking. The pump is just a small RV pump that is easily picked up by hand. Right now I"m not using the RV shower, just the tank of water that sits outside. Didn't know about the shower drain freezing, thanks for the tips!!
