Then that will give us two fence lines on that side to keep the goats on our side. We are thinking of planting sunflowers in between the fences.
Your goats will love you if you plant sunflowers!

i am so glad that you found the pins and got it all figured out..now you HAVE a legal leg to stand on and you are attempting to be fair..i would make sure permanent posts are put on the line..or within 4 to 6" of the line..to mark the corner pins and the line..and continue to maintain between the goat pen and the line for your own sakes..

smart work there

Remember to "refresh" the orange marker paint often! It is "official-looking" stuff, and I have used it successfully to remind neighbors EXACTLY when they are steping over the invisible line!

Yep, nice BRIGHT orange paint on the posts! Plus we still have a nice BRIGHT orange string strung from one post to the next so it is very clear that we are on our side of the line. We have cemented in 4" round x 6' wooden posts at all of the corners next to our orange stakes...on our side with in 6 inches of the stakes. We are hoping to get the property line fence finished this weekend....just the corner posts are in place. Then as soon as the goat house is done then we will be putting up the goat fence.
We are going to make the property line fence look like it is electric, mostly because that is what we bought, and then put the no trespassing signs and electric fence warning signs on it and then just put electric fence warning signs on our goat posts. But if he walks around the property line fence he will see that it is not connected to the actual goat pen fence and that it is not electrified.
The area between the two fences with be the "L" shaped part and will be approx 5'x130', 5'x57', and 5'x100'. I would like to plant some usable crops in that area instead of just mowing it... sunflowers, beans to grow on the decorative fence, or sweet corn. It seems like a waste to just mow it.
