I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I was curious as to whether you had made any progress. I am going on the assumption that with 40 acres you are probably down in the San Luis valley. I had a friend that recently made a trek out to Colorado for a problem she has been having for several years and has wasted many thousands of dollars on with the regular medical establishment. She went to the school of chinese medicine and they have done wonders for her. She has a new diet, takes new herbs and claims to have lost about 30% of the pain she was feeling on a day to day basis as well as the vertigo that was making her life miserable. You might consider looking them up and doing a consult with them.

As far as doing your job and being mobile, I wonder if an Ipad might help you out with that one. I have recently switched to one of the small laptops and have been known to walk around with it while I am doing work.

If you are seriously considering meat goats, it might be worth your while to go into Denver to the places that cater to teh midle eastern and african communities to advertise your goats. If you can provide a place for them to butcher on your site you might be surprised how many you can sell as it is hard for them to find traditional halal meat for special occaisions.
