Look at any pound or HS shelter and you will find purebred dogs. More are being born everyday and when they are no longer cute, develop issues or the owner doesn't have "time to fool" with them they wind up at the pound. Most of these dogs will be put down. The number of pets put down on a yearly basis is staggering, while all along people breed for more.

I bought our 2 JRT from a breeder in 2001 before i knew better. He had the mother in a rabbitt cage. I would never do that again. I do not condone dog breeding as a business or a hobby. There are good, ethical breeders out there true, but most are nothing more than puppy mills trying to make a buck off the back of a dog.

Sorry, but this is my opinion on the topic and it is a strong one.
