Dodddridge County here.

We sold our hogs and delivered to the butcher for the buyer. Buyer picked up their meat. The butcher cut the hogs up as the buyer wished. Last time we sold two hogs to 4 people...each one buying half a hog. Worked out great. Several people purchased whole hogs.

Hey! And Welcome!! We're in Webster Co., close (25 mi) to Summersville. We're also so far back in a "holler" we about have to pipe in the sunshine! We have a Guernsey, her heifer Guernsey/Angus, and her steer, also Guernsey/Angus. Also pigs, chickens, goats, mixed breeds of rabbits, and big old gardens. We love this place!

I'm thinking we should come up with a date to meet first. Once that's done, I can find a central location.

October is a good possibility. The WV Herb Association usually has their fall conference at Stonewall Jackson. This year it will be on October 9th from 10am to 5pm. That's less than an hour from Pennsboro. If we meet for a few hours. I'm not sure about bringing a trailer.

Thanks Darren

Something like that would be great and we could leave the trailer at home.

I would like to meet some of our WV folks.

When I told Bette she asked when it was going to be. I told her that folks was working on it.

Best regards,

Dave

If you plan a little in advance, so hubby can take a day off, we would LOVE to come!!! Somewhere around Sutton or Wallback or even BullTown would be great! Bulltown I think has old cabins /buildings relocated there as xhibits. This sounds like so much fun!:banana02:

Is everyone comfortable with a meeting place mid-state not too far off I-79?

I'm good with a day meeting at the Herb Fair... But I'm also open to a week-end camping trip if anyone else is interested... I'm sure that tent camping sites won't be hard to find... Unless someone has a farm and can offer a place to pitch a few tents, mid-state (off I-79 would be great)
