Well then Rambler, then that nearly settles it, that I got to readjust the float, cause, THEY AINT NO FUEL ADJUSTMENT SCREW ON A CUB. They got just the one idle adjustment screw, and thats it.

I never knew something, so easy to work on, would be so hard to get to work right LOL. Thanks for the help.

Did you try to send a small wire through the main jet? I think it has trash in it.

Go here are watch and see if you can gain any insight. His carb is to rich and your is too lean but you may gain some information. This person has 6 videos, 5 apply to Cubs but I do not know if the carb is identical to yours.

I sent wire, and over 100psi air through it, and yet, of course you still could be right. Cant get on utube. Wanna get a drill bit small enough to send down in it.

Go to the library and watch the You Tube video. It shows how to set the float with a piece of cardboard cut as a fixture and the video states that the carb is very sensitive to the setting. I am hung up on the issue being the float not letting enough gas in or a clogged orifice. Did you try the barbed fitting and a piece of clear tubing to see the fuel level in the bowl? Remember you can run the engine with the tubing in place and watch if the fuel level remains constant. This will let you know how the float and needle valve is functioning as you can watch if the bowl is being starved for gas.
