my point is you did not need the fire trucks had they put in a fire break on their own!

but ya your right too much work lets pay to have some one shepard the flock.

the rest of of it was in the thread drift area but of course you would have to read and follow all the posts to know that.

of course everyone only reads what they want and skips the rest or to lazy to read it all
and only the first two or three before they post.

I think I and many are agreeing with you al! its crazy stuff.... but i think its referred to as "job security"

threads are dynamic they develop as people contribute.

The County I live in has banned burning anything but small 2' x 2' piles of "old" branches/brush. Naturally, those are banned when it is too dry for any burning. We used to get permits, but they aren't required now. DH isn't happy about it, as he would prefer to burn the branches/brush in a large bonfire. I don't consider this a big deal and prefer smaller fires (easier to control & safer). Now, this isn't that big of a deal except for any land that has been logged. It is now illegal to burn the slag piles. When properties are now logged, they aren't cleaned up. The slag piles are left. Now, the flip side to this is now we have a WORSE fire hazard! All that dry wood lying all over and then in the midst of large slag piles... Private homeowners can't burn the large roots when they log their properties, or even cut down a few trees... So, they are now hiring guys with backhoes to bury it all. Not sure what ramifications are for this practice.
