Plastic represents everthing wrong in todays society-doesn't it?

Well, I think it's kinda over the Top, to "Demonize things", plastic, money, alcohol, or drugs........or nearly anything.....They all have their purposes. They all can be used properly, to benefit mankind. Or they can be abused.
That's the way I see "things".

We are simply forgetting that plastics is just one piece of the cultural and environmental mess we have on our hands. Ever check out the ditches alongside the roads after a big snow melts? In my state, its littered with trash, much of it plastic, and those shopping bags? They end up in farmers fields and never break down.
The problem is US. How WE use it, not the technology.

My Great-great-way back there Grand daddy said the same thing: "All this metal they're making. What a waste. Since when isn't stone good enough? It degrades and rusts."

The biggest problem with plastic is it's made too many people fat and lazy. They use the spare time that plastic has given them to whine and dream up boogie men.

Well its keeping the Chinese fit and trim. By making things out of plastic which break down more often and are not repairable, we have to buy those things over and over more frequently, thus they have to make more and ship it to us more often. Keeps them active....
