I enjoy attending Cyndi and Paul's weekend because it is like going home again. When I was coming up it wasn't called homesteading, it was called the way of life. We never lived on a farm, but my Mom always had a large garden, canned, and butchered her own chickens, which she got from a local farm. We always helped out the farmers at harvest time and the women did the cooking on a wood burning stove. When Cyndi was growing up we also had a large garden and even though she doesn't remember, I always canned the produce from the garden. Spending any weekend with my DD is wonderful, but their homesteading weekend is very special because of all the likeminded folks who attend. There is always so much to learn, even at my age. (which I can't seem to keep secret with Cyndi around) LOL I always carry away many memories from these weekends but this year I must say the best was seeing my GD and 3 GGchildren.
Ivy, I missed you alot this year.
Looking forward to seeing all the folks again next year and hopefully meet many more.

Yes, he does. He just can't eat a whole one.

Y'know, I miss you too, Mom Carol. Life keeps getting busier, and it gets harder to do the things I want to do, see the people I want to see...

I am so glad that all y'all went out to Muller's. Visiting there has always felt like coming home to me.

Did you move the kitchen table? It looks like it's a bit farther away from the west wall...

Wow, what a bunch of mug shots, maybe as homesteaders we will be on the post office wall next week after this. Cydni`s mom is such a hoot, and a wonderful lady and I hope to look as good if I get to seventy one. I think if everyone knew how much fun we really have at Mullers Lane farm you guys may not have room for everyone. >Thanks Again, Marc

Paul put his sewing machine against the middle window of the west wall. Just enough room to pull the chair back. it might be the angle of the shot that makes it look a bit farther from the wall.

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos. Looks like a good time was had by all. Very impressive wall of canned goods, complete with blue ribbons. I need to mapquest and see how far a trek for next years' event. You have a beautiful homestead and an inspiration for all.
