I am hoping to use that little clone 5.5hp I have. It starts easy and fairly quiet. As to balance it just matter of experimenting and seeing. I've never used a single wheel anything other than standard contractors wheelbarrow. And I'm aiming at load simular to what a contractors wheelbarrow can carry.

For lot people back in the day, sure that Chinese wheelbarrow was their pickup truck and used in rather rough terrain. Our modern wheelbarrows were designed to work with concrete/mortar on job site going up and down planks and such. Not to carry things over really rough terrain or down the road, though they adapt to wide variety of uses.

I know this is probably totally off topic, but here goes. Have you considered some kind of home made log skidder? I'm thinking something like they use on American Loggers where they pull full length logs up the hillside using a cables ect. I have no personal experience with them, just trying to think outside the box.

Thats fine in yard or barnyard or even construction site, but 4 wheel wheelbarrow not going to thread through some goat path out into woods. The idea is to bring out a few wheelbarrow loads of firewood from rather inaccessable areas without building a trail.

I am aiming for ability to follow some goat path back into woods to get small quantities of firewood in otherwise inaccessable places without carrying it armload by armload. Not wanting to get into logging or big complicated infrastructure.

I think that Chinese design is awesome. Still, if your path is That narrow, you will have to balance your load requirements with your width. Very do-able tho, I think....
