The last link for the cold pictures just went to the sign in page on Photobucket and not your pics.

Was it hard to run the electric from the road to where you wanted it?
Not hard. Its only 150 feet to cabin from the road that fronts our property.

OH Highland County is sooo beautiful. We just sold our farm in Pendleton Co and sometimes while we were there, we would go to church in McDowell. I loved the views coming off the mountains from the W Va side down into Highland. The fall view is just gorgeous. We have several friends that live in Highland, the ones who own the country store that was in this months issue of Farm and Ranch are some. I would like to go to the Maple Sugar festival this year if possible.
Your place is just gorgeous. I wouldn't have wanted to leave there either. I miss my Pendleton Co place but I love my Grant Co farm too.

Your cabin is just gorgeous, great job. I am sitting here thinking of a little vacation in it. Gotta dream! How far is it from the closest town for supplies etc?Might I ask where you are now in the house that you hope sells? Hope you make it make to the Commonwealth ASAP.

wow! You should make a blog and chronicle it. I love reading blogs, it's a little way I get to live vicariously through others until we get our house built.

Beautiful piece of property. DH and I are working on kissing the city good-bye as well.

I hope you sell your city house quickly!

You cabin is darling, and the property is beautiful. My dh grew up in Langley, and often talks of the beauty of the area.

I hope you get back to it very soon. We left the big city almost seven years ago and I cannot imagine going back.

Can you tell us an approximate cost to build? I realize it can vary widely, but we have some property about 20 miles away that we hope to move to within a year or two. This cabin really appealed to us. If you prefer, you could pm me with the info.

I probably have 18K in the place- thats all systems included, grading power, shed etc etc...but I did most of the work and paid one good carpenter to help me a lot.
