Some of you mentioned dogs in conjunction with finding Sheds. I just talked on the phone last night with my friend in Idaho..she's off the grid in their new self built house(she built the cabinets herself), and she would just love to find more sheds. Her foster ACD found one last week and we had been talking about her training him to go find them! Oh do I wish she could use a computer there and read this thread!!!

Very cool Find Cowboy! Usually the only ones I get are those that my dogs find also. sigh....

We saw 4 nice bucks yesterday all still with horns (1 6pt, 2 that were definitely 8pt and one that was either an 8 or a 10). They were all in our field, along with about 40 does. Dh was amazed, as we've never seen horned bucks this time of the year, so he went online and found out they can shed as late as March around here, depending on their age, health, and how active they were during the rut.

Now the kids are all excited about going out and looking for sheds regularly, they want to find those nice racks!

As some of you know, in the past, I have not been too good at posting pictures, but when I get a chance and I can get it done I will post a pic. This is not a monster buck, but for eastern Ok, it is a good buck. Indianheadranch, you will know this to be fact, as they have not been too big in the past because of the type of management, but has changed over the years and we do have bigger deer. I will see if I can find the other and maybe with luck, post both, if not I will try the one!

I have found a matched pair of whitetail antlers and elk antlers. Both times, it was on a bed and looks like they went to sleep and woke up without horns. But usually, I find singles. I once saw a bull elk run into a thicket with two antlers and come out with one. That was an easy find.
