No fears, just keep some of this on hand. Works for me.

Last week my TV blew up and this week HT was down. You want to see a guy with time on his hands.... might not replace the TV, kinda nice and quiet around here without it!

I don't understand why it goes down so often. I frequent another forum, which has 77,000 members, and generally has 400-900 users online at any given time. I have never known it to go down. It seems to be the same vBulletin version as this.

What causes a forum to implode?

Ooh! Look at that! New smilies! :smiley-laughing013::lock1:

Snoozy - you must not have read my posts.

The big 'downtime' earlier this week was entirely preventable; it had to do with backup files being one HECK of a lot bigger than we realized. They filled up a partition; and once that happened, it stopped other stuff from running.

The other two 'mini-outages' were related to the first; and not even the vBulletin forum seems to have an answer as of yet. But it's entirely and totally triggered by an admin function we regularly use, that can be done elsewhere on the board, so we'll just avoid doing that until there's a fix for it.
